The audience of a writing is the group of people that are projected to view the product. There are three different types of audiences. They can be primary, secondary, or tertiary. The primary audience are the people who are the main focus of the writing and the secondary audience is the people who are indirectly related to the focus. Finally, the tertiary audience are the potential viewers with a related focus with the writing. For example, we had to write a engineering proposal to the mayor, making him the primary audience but, our secondary audience was the Department of Transportation because they also had a focus that would come in the project. We also did this through an audio analysis sheet.
