The genre of a writing is the category of the product of what is written. We were able to establish many different genres in this class. They include letter, lab report, technical description, engineering proposal, and memo. All of these genres have a different type of structure and writing style. Each of these are an efficient method of portraying a writer’s view. For example, a genre of a technical description is used to describe something and a genre of a letter would be better for a persuasion.
