A stance is very important who it comes to writing something. The audience needs to know what the author’s point of view is towards the subject of writing. People have different opinions and two writings about the same thing may also have a different stance. Writing throughout the semester with a specific stance has helped me stay focused towards my goal for the writing. I was able to figure out what I should and shouldn’t include in the writing to support my argument. For example, for the memo project, my stance was ” … that this is a major problem, not just for students, but for every single being in the school.”
